Our story
From school ski trips to tailored ski holidays
Unlike mass-market operators, we’ve always kept our focus on the individuals and groups we work with, working exclusively in Austria, a country we know inside out. This allows us to build strong local partnerships and design trips that truly work for our guests. For us, it’s not just about getting people on the slopes, it’s about giving them the kind of alpine experience that keeps them coming back year on year.

Skiing in Lungau – FAQs
Everything you need to know before you book
Why are you not members of ABTA?
Firstly, there is nothing wrong with the organisation, it provides welcome support to its members, who are all Travel Agents (Association of British Travel Agents).
As a very small company, which facilitates trips only over a maximum of 5 weeks each year, it really does not make economic sense to join something which has 47 ‘fallow’ weeks each year; it confirms to the consumer that the member organisation has a robust financial failure policy, following specific guidelines. The British travel industry recognises and accepts 3 options:
- The existence of insurance to provide protection to consumers.
- A Bond, which does the same, or
- A Trust Account, where the consumer’s funds remain until the trip is underway.
We use the last, (for the same reason we are not members of ABTA).
How are flights booked & are they ATOL protected?
We do not book flights directly ourselves. Instead, we use a specialist flight broker (Aviate), who provides ATOL protection for all flights arranged through them. This means that, should anything happen to the airline or the broker, your flights remain financially protected under the UK’s Civil Aviation Authority scheme.
How far is Lungau from Salzburg Airport?
Transfers take around 1.5–2 hours, making it easily accessible for international travellers.
Will the new biometric checks affect our school ski trip
From 12 October 2025, the EU’s new Entry/Exit System (EES) will begin across the Schengen zone, which includes Austria.
For school groups travelling by coach, this simply means that on your first crossing into the EU, each traveller will provide fingerprints and a facial image at the border. There’s nothing to do in advance, no extra cost, and our staff will guide the group through the process as part of the journey. While it may add a little extra time at the border, no special preparation is required.
