Skiing in Tirol

A ski holiday in Tirol stands out as one of the best experiences Austria has to offer for groups, and for good reason. Its wide, gentle slopes are perfect for beginners and school groups, offering a safe and supportive environment to learn and build confidence on the snow.

Thanks to its excellent location, you can fly into Innsbruck and be on the slopes in as little as an hour, making Tirol one of the most accessible alpine destinations in Europe. What truly sets it apart is the experience itself, a blend of charming mountain villages, modern ski facilities, and that unmistakable Austrian warmth that keeps our guests coming back year after year.

If you would like to explore other areas of Austria, take a look at Ski Amadé, home to 760km of interconnected pistes across five regions, or Lungau, a peaceful destination known for its wide, quiet slopes and relaxed alpine atmosphere.

Timmy Young

Ski Instructor

Tim is a passionate snowboard instructor who has traded the rolling hills of Surrey for the Austrian Alps; born and raised in Epsom, Timmy developed a love for sports from a young age, pursuing his passion in Liverpool, studying sports science and honing his skills.

At the age of 18, Timmy went to Bannff, Canada, for his first full winter season spending it in Sunshine Village; at 21, Timmy made the bold decision to move to Austria, where he immersed himself in the mountain culture he now adores. As a dually qualified ski and snowboard instructor, he shares his expertise and enthusiasm with visitors from around the world.

As part of Snowstyle Travel, Timmy combines his love of winter sports with his dedication to delivering unforgettable experiences; when he's not shredding through powder or teaching others to do the same, Timmy relishes soaking up the breathtaking Austrian landscapes.
Neil Bendle

Neil Bendle

Founder

Neil spent the whole of his working life in educational settings, working in three countries delivering both informal and formal education to hundreds of children. Brought up in a small village in the Swansea Valley, Neil completed his education at Borough Road College in West London; his employment history incorporated unbroken spells with the Y.M.C.A, Ministry of Defence, West Sussex L.E.A, finally returning to Wales as a Head Teacher in the City and County of Swansea.

His love of skiing, and Austria, developed as a result of a school ski trip, using leather boots, and a block of wax to try and “go faster!”; he had to wait 20 years to do that again, but then it was all downhill from there! As a Party Leader for over 20 years, Neil has drawn on his experiences -good and bad- utilising both to create bespoke ski trips, primarily for school and youth groups, but also for families.

Snowstyle came about as a joint venture between a father and son; tragically Neil’s son, Rhodri passed away in 2024, but his memory continues, as, with Rhys and Tim, Neil is committed to continue the dream.
